The Department of Energy and Climate Change’s Public Attitudes Tracking Survey has shown that around 70% of the British public see real and tangible benefits from renewable energy, and 56% would be satisfied with a large-scale generator built in their area.

The survey also revealed that total support for marine energy is at 77%.

“It’s great that the British public sees how renewable energy is helping to grow the UK economy,” RenewableUK’s Chief Executive Hugh McNeal said, “Renewables are delivering investment and jobs throughout our country.”
